Jennifer Pyron is an improvisational artist based in Brooklyn, NY. She specializes in art song cycles that dive deep into the psyche through her voice, synthesizer, layered processing, loop station and keyboard. The Universe of Her (2023) documents the investigation of her own philosophical beliefs after losing her younger sister, Nicole, in 2011. The i:memo recordings she catalogs alternate lightness and darkness, inward and outward, in hopes of transcending herself.

About No Moon:
Listeance (listening + seance) sets out to make unmediated room for immersion; to explore the difference between the involuntary nature of hearing and the voluntary, selective nature of actively listening as a way of channeling the ur-virtual reality. Aiming to meet at monthly intervals in total darkness, Listeance strives to build a loose community of like-minded, curious individuals, to come together to listen to a curated program of music/sound and be differently present (and usually eat some homemade mashed potatoes). It has been hosted in Viktor Timofeev’s attic in Rotterdam since January 2016, and is now hosted at No Moon in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn. nomoon.today
